Russian Orthodox Christmas

By our apartment they were having a party for Russian Orthodox Christmas. We had pizza with Lena L, Olya L, and Zoya and then decided to walk through the festivities. Of course Father Frost and his daughter was there to greet all the children.

Including us!!

All kinds of animals were around to dance with the children--not including us!!

The girls wanted their picture taken by the nativity scene. We don't see too many of those. This one was on the tent of a restaurant and a lady was standing by the door telling people to come in and tries their delicious, tasty food.

Next we went to a Barbie Exhibition at the Mockva (Moscow) theater. There were several room with Barbie, Ken, and children posed in different scenes.

They wanted to make sure Max had a picture looking at the horses. He was the only guy in the room--so he really was being a "good sport."

Lena liked the Statue of Liberty.

The last scene was Barbie and Ken getting married and living happily ever after.

In the lobby of the theater was this neat stained glass window showing important landmarks in Moscow, Russia.

Father Frost is certainly skinnier than our Santa. Why did we, as Americans, fatten him up so much? My girls would have loved that Barbie exhibit.

Those Barbie displays remind me of the cabin that grandpa made for the museum in Rexburg.

I'm glad was a good sport. He is even getting cultured enough to go to a Barbie museum. Amazing!
