Flashback Friday

Since it has rained all week and Max was sick the first two days of the week I didn't take any new pictures--so we're doing a Flashback Friday.
Back to the day when Belarus was only a country on the map...

And we could actually wear a badge.

We've come "a long ways baby." My children will be too young to remember that expression. But we have indeed come a long ways. We were just saying how much more comfortable we feel in this city after six months. We are actually reading and speaking a few Russian words and we venture out and find stores by ourselves. And we've met some great members of the church in this part of the world. The church is true and a blessing in peoples lives where ever you live.

As your oldest child, I can tell you I remember that quote and I think it is ironic that you use it for a missionary post since it was originally a cigarette commercial. :)

I like the flashback but I would really like a flashforward. :)

Isn't that expression from an old cigarette ad? What exactly are you promoting here?

I had forgotten that was an ad for cigarettes. That is funny since we do puppet shows discouraging smoking!!
