The parade route was real close to our apartment so we walked down to watch it. After passing through two security gates we found us spots to watch the parade, which we thought probably started at 10:00 am. It didn't start until noon!
By the time the parade did start all we could see was the back of heads--lots of heads!!
I didn't get many pictures because this man told me I had to put my camera away. Security was every where. Our spot was fairly close to where the president of Belarus was watching. Of course he was on a riser and could see a little better than us.
In the evening we went for a walk around the Svoislich River which run through the middle of the city.
Max thought this picture looked like a post card.
Then of course the firework which we were able to watch sitting on the lawn in front of our apartment.
