Odds and Ends

This little Babushka was herding her goats down the road. They don't use fences, guiding them to pasture in the morning, staying with the goats all day, and then taking them back home at night.

A boarding house we visited was making piles and piles of pancakes. They offered to let us try some--and of course I had to see what they tasted like. They use yeast in the recipe, fry in this huge frying pan, and then top with sour cream. Definitely a different taste sensation!!

How's this for an ideas to use those old tractor tires you have laying around. Paint them with colorful paint, plant some flowers in the middle, add a Babushka and you have a "Kodak moment."
There are some neat water fountains in the city of Minsk. We pass this one on our walk from the metro stop. Again add a Dedushka and you have another "Kodak moment."
