We traveled to the Bryest Region to open one humanitarian project and to close another. The ride was full of interesting and fun things to see.
Babushkas on the corner selling their farm projects.
We see a lots of this kind of fence in Belarus. This one was more intricate than some others we have seen.
Bright yellow canola fields, blue skies, and white cummulus clouds--it doesn't get much prettier than that!!
This kind of doll in really popular in Belarus. It represents the bread offered when a couple is married. The directors of the Territorial Center in Divine offered them to us as a gift. Four of the ladies there had the same name--Tatyana, a very popular name in this country. Max had them all laughing over the fact that three of them had the same name--then when another came delivering clothes to be washed and her name was also Tayana we all had another good laugh. They were such nice ladies and so appreciated the washing machine and dryer the church donated to their Territorial Center.

I really love the picture of the canola field. Good job!
The canola field is my favorite too. What is that last picture?
You do take great pictures.
It's a haystack--Max said they use to stack it that way in Driggs years ago. The blue houses and beehives.
I love to see all the sights that you see on your trips. I especially love the canola field - very pretty!
I think "Tonya" is a derivative of "Tatyana."
An Armenian cab driver asked me if I was Russian the other day, purely on the basis of my name. Truly popular, I guess. He said there is some joke about grandmas and the name Tonya ... so he wasn't sure if I was going to be a grandma or not when he was driving to pick me up. I wasn't sure how to take that one.
