In Minsk they have a unique way of getting people across the street without stopping traffic. It an underground sidewalk. The one we use most often also has a floral shop and convenient store. It's also a favorite hang out in the winter on Friday and Saturday night for teenager playing guitars and doing a little drinking.
This is the entrance
You go right or left depending on the corner you want to get to. One time we turned wrong and came out somewhere we had never been before. To the right is the floral shop and to the left is the convenient store.
Keep going and going and going...
Until you reach the stairway out. Another way to get exercise!!

Now that I see pictures I realize that we used one in Bejing too. Fun to see a sunny day!
Yep they are a lot cleaner then the ones in Bulgaria. Look a lot like them though.
They look very nice and clean. I am supprized they could keep an under ground passage that clean. Oh, I need you to include Gary's blog location on your blog list. I use (as many others do) as a central blog for accessing other blogs. If you have time that is.rd
I always forget what a big city you are in.
You guys are doing all sorts of new things!
We saw a lot of these in London also.
