Wicked Weekend

3 daughters + 1 daughter-in-law, + 1 grand-daughter made for a fun week-end in Boise, Idaho. (We sure missed Melissa, but her girls had a dance recital she needed to be home for.)

We visited the State Capitol Building.....

 ate Vietnamese, French, and Melting Pot....

and even had race up the to the top of the steps. 

The reason we went was to see the musical "Wicked" which was fantastic. 

Kentucky Derby Part 2

This is what we saw of the race.  We really had pretty good seats because many in the crowd couldn't even see the any of the race.  Animal Kingdom won the race with a 30-1 odds--so people who were brave won a lot of money--not us!!  It was fun and exciting to be there.  Kentucky is beautiful.

We were able to attend the Kentucky Derby with its...

                                                             fancy hats.....

                                                            fancy clothes..............

                                                   interesting hats.......

                                                 and lots of people. 

I think we look like Ma and Pa Kettle.  (and I was afraid my hat would be too much)
