The End

I finished my last "quilt of the month" project. When we sold the apartments I thought, "what am I going to do with my extra time?" The lady at Porter's was glad to make some suggestions. Needless to say with the mission in our near future I felt like I really wanted to get all of them finished before I left. Goal accomplished!!!
This one was interesting. It's called The Mystery Quilt. Each month we received a packet without seeing the finished project. The block didn't cost anything and we received the next month's block free if we brought in the finished block each month. It was a bit of a challenge as each month used a different quilting technique. This is the end project in more ways than one.

Red, White, and Green

Our tree definitely uses the traditional Christmas colors. It's waiting for everyone to come and hang their personal ornament. I haven't located the tree skirt yet. It must be in that last box I wasn't going to use this year. So much for cutting back!!

Two More Done

This quilt of the month is called "Kaleidoscope of Kolor"

This one is called "The Be-attitudes"

Each month celebrated a different holiday. I enjoyed sewing this quilt because I like doing the blanket stitch around the figures. It was easier to put together because it was not so enormous--like the first picture.

Service or Stupidity???

I volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army on the coldest day of the season so far. I thought I would freeze. It looks sunny but a very cold wind was blowing. Max came to help, keep me company, and take a picture. I was amazed at the people that put money into the bucket. It was definitely worth the two hours we spent there.

Civic Club Christmas

Monday was our Christmas Party for Civic Club. Greeting everyone is Susan, my sister, in her new position as treasurer!!

There are a lot of neat ladies that do a lot of service in the community.

Nancy, who was in charge of decorations, always does such a great job. Each of us received a bottle of jam made by the president of the club, Maurie. I'll miss these monthly meetings.

Time to Remember

Since we couldn't spend Thanksgiving with our family I went back through our pictures to do some remembering. Sad but most years my pictures go from Halloween then directly to Christmas. The last year a took some pictures was 2006 when we were all at Mandy's. There were a lot of cute one--hard to pick just a few. It brought back some fun memories.
