Oh The Places You'll Go

With Graduation in the air my thought are on the book "Oh The Places You'll Go" but instead it will be "The Places I went." If I was cleaver it would be in rhymn--but since I'm not--it isn't.

Earned two points (cardio and toning)

Gained 1 (too many sweet days)

Saved 15 (sealing)

Served 2 (Gave Alex and her friends a ride to a party at the park)

Saw "lots" of beautiful pink trees in town while running "lots" of errands.
Oh the places I went!!!

Memorial/Birthday Celebration!!

Angie & Ryan's family visited for the week-end. Makayla and her Dad are playing the Wii. I wonder who's race car won the race!!

Olivia and Makayla

Visiting the grave sites.

Opening my birthday present from Max--a new camera. Now I can really get some great shots for the "blog." We all came here, after our rainy visit to the cemetery, for grilled steaks (by Travis) and funeral potatoes made by Max. I made a German Chocolate cake for my birthday. It reminded me of my mom and everyone said it was delicious.

Yeah Yard Work!!!

This bleeding heart plant is growing out of the middle of the front patio.

The tulips are sure pretty this year. Too bad they don't last longer.

The mother bird is as dedicated to sitting on those robin eggs and the father bird was in building the nest.

Travis planted the pansies for me.

Max (and frog) by the waterfall.

The weather is finally good enough to do a little yard work. Travis planted the pansies for me, Max is planting the garden, and Spruce it Up has the waterfall clean and working. Hopefully they have fixed the leaks. Right after I took the pictures Max had to quit because it started raining. This weather!! (I wanted this wording at the very first--but I need a lesson in "blog arranging.")

Memories

I was organizing my pictures this morning and found this cute picture of Chad and Rachel. Thought I would share. It was taken at Grandpa Ricks' viewing.

New Car

We picked up our new car Monday which was a good thing because I ran into a post in the Porter's parking lot with the old one and really smashed in the door on the driver side of the car. That is the first crash I have had. I wish I would of taken a picture of it, but I was so sick about doing it I was just glad to get it to the dealer's and get the new car. Our insurance will take care of the repairs. This new car looks like the old one except for the different color and we gone "sporty" on in the inside with the gear shirt "on the floor."

Fun Visit

It was fun having the Hurd family visit for the week-end. We took the kids to Bear World while Chad studied and Max burned ditch banks. The rides were free so Hannah really enjoyed that. My favorite part was the baby bear cubs. They were so cute playing together. We also took with us Courtney's little boy Zack--she was helping Chad study. They are selling fudge there so of course I had to buy several different kinds. Everyone at home enjoyed the treat also.

It was fun to watch Hannah in the petting zoo.

A Very Persistent Robin

Abby will appreciate this blog. After about five days of knocking down any material this robin would bring trying to make a nest on the backyard deck's rain gutter--we woke up this morning to this. Max didn't have the heart to knock it down because the bird had worked so hard during the night. So we will be having a nest of Robins (and their mess) on our deck. But he had worked so hard--what could we do.

Another busy Thursday

We tended Travis and Melissa's kids while they were in Salt Lake City to a job interview. JoAnn Jensen dropped off Olivia and Preslee about 8:00 am to spend the day and then Max picked up Alex after school. They had fun playing with my American Girl dolls and Grandpa even took a second to read Olivia a book. When Alex was here he saddled up Magic so they could take a ride. The snow was gone by then!! Alex rode a long time--trotting most of the time. It reminded me of Kenzie at the family reunion this summer. I bet she will be sore today. Took them to McDonald's for dinner and so they could play on the play equipment. Their parents picked them up about 9:00 pm. Travis felt his interview went good and he was one of the nine called back. They are suppose to let him know next week if he made it into the program. More waiting!!

Spring--yeah right!!

Surprise, surprise. Woke up this morning to the ground covered with snow. May 1st and we are still getting snow. I'm tending Travis and Melissa's girls today and wanted to go on a picnic. I'm sure there will be better days for that!!!

There was a robin playing in the snow--but I didn't get a good shot. But Robins are signs of Spring---right?
