Finished Quilt Project

I have just finished this cute baby quilt. I've been sewing this individual blocks for over a year. Lauren helped me with some of the stitiches when I was tending the Hodges when their parents went to China.

Relief Society Birthday Party

Thursday night I went to Relief Society Birthday Party in the Burton 4th Ward. It was such a nice evening which reminded me of how much I miss the association with the sisters of the ward. I sat by Sister Wright and Sheilia Widerburg (but Sheila won't let anybody take her picture.) The served a delicious meal, had a short history of the Relief Society, and then presented a slide show of the different activities the ward has had during the year. It was just a fun, enjoyable, restful evening. It was nice to spend time with some adult sisters for a change.

Lunch anyone?

On Thursdays after bowling I picked up Preslee from pre-school and we used one of my coupons (won at the Chamber Banquet) to go to lunch. Today was Wendy's. She is quite the talker and I learn all sorts of things from what letter she learned at school (today was B) to who got in trouble for painting pink washable marker on her eye lids. The color wasn't totally washable!! She is just so much fun to go to lunch with.

My Finished Quilt

I missed working in the temple this morning. I have a bad head cold and just wasn't feeling well. Max did his shift as coordinator then he also came home not feeling very well. We are quite the pair--two people laying around sniffing in coughing!! Well last week I finished this quilt and wanted to post the finished project on my blog. It wasn't very hard as it was only square--but they are on an angle which gave be a bit of a challenge. I especially like the fall colors. I also made a purse out of the scraps.

Dodge National Finals Rodeo

This week-end was the Dodge National Finals Rodeo in Pocatello. The Americanas performed at two different rodeos. I meant to take their picture but was too busy watching I forgot. But I did get some pictures of the great company I sat with at the rodeo!!! The first picture is Diane Clark and her grandson. Of course the 2nd is a great picture of Travis. I need to learn how to do a collage.

Grave Side Services

My Uncle Frank Ryset held a grave side service at the Ririe Cemetery. They only had two boys--Bruce lives in Virginia and Tim lives in Lewiston, Idaho. It was good to see them--we don't see that family very often. Uncle Kay did a great job dedicating the grave. I rode with Gary and Laleene, Max was busy getting another horse ready for the rodeo. Julie is riding the one he had all bathed and ready yesterday. It's a good thing he likes her or he wouldn't of been very happy about having to wash another horse.

Here is a fun summer reminder!!!

Temple

Had an exciting day at the temple. There was a man that came in the waiting area while I was working there and started to pray out loud. I'm not even sure he knew I was there. He was quoting scriptures and kept saying, "yes Jesus." I think he was really tormented inside and having a very bad day. I felt bad for him but at the same time a little eirie. (Does blogs have spell check?) Haven't figure out how to do pictures yet!!! That's my next goal.
