Ready or Not!!!

Packed up and ready to go!! Be home August 1st. Hopefully I can figure out the inter-net cafe in Europe and check your blogs and e-mails. See you all for the Wade Reunion!!!

About two or maybe three summers ago I bought this plant in Logan. They were every where and were so pretty. Came home and planted it in the front yard. Each year it has come up but no blooms. But this year we are getting some flowers!!

I wanted to take a picture of the petunia before the trip. By the time we get home the whole flower bed should be covered with flowers.

Also a before and after picture of the garden. It is really looking good this year and not a weed in it--thanks to both Max and I.

I think our barrel is especially pretty this year. I also has some yellow flowers, but they are being crowded out by the purple ones.

Our Beautiful Part of the World

Yesterday I went outside to take my walk and this is what I saw out our front door. That is the sun coming up and it was right between those trees. The colors were also beautiful--but zooming it in made the colors not as vibrant. But believe me it was beautiful!

A few minutes later it looks like there in a signature in the sun.

Our roses are looking so pretty this year. The blooms are thick and the bushes are loaded.

60 years young!!!

Made Max a pancake with a candle for his birthday breakfast. He received 3 ties from me, a tie from Angie's family and a tie from Travis' family. And since he probably won't be reading this blog I happen to know he will be receiving ties from Abby and Mandy's families. We had the bishopric from the 36th ward come out for dinner to celebrate his birthday and he commented that on Father's Day he had said, "unlike most father who complain about getting ties as gifts I like them, I guess they heard me." He will have plenty of ties to choose from now.

Dinner with the bishopric and Travis' family. Travis cooked the steaks for us. I sure appreciated his help. It was fun to have Melissa and the Wade girls there. She had them all looking so cute with such cute hair styles. These people are great friends and it was a fun evening. Max seemed to enjoy his birthday. When my parents turned sixty I remember thinking, "that is really old." It just doesn't seem as old now. Remember that kids!!!
